Everyone is poointing the good, giving you compliments, blabla, so I'll try to point out things to improve:
The characters dont STAND OUT OF the background. They seems to blind-in. Their silhouette should be VERY CLEAR at the very first-sight, but I kinda had to take a time to "process" what they were doing. At least, in the preview, it's not clear at all.
That lady petting the dog is in a very akward position, it looks like she's gonna break her back.
In general, this seems like a great piece coming from a talented person but really, the thing that bother me is mostly the colors. They are beautiful but to me, something is off there. I cant explain it.
in some kind of pictures, the blend-everything effect is good, like in...Find waldo, yknow .
Maybe that kind of color palette is part of the artist style, i browsed through his gallery and his art generally got those confusing, unharmonious colors. Its....interesting. but I could definitively get used to it. I guess its like wine, at first it taste strange but you get used to it and you like it.
I think that place comes from the artists mind.. What does it look like to you ..To me it looks like a backyard.
Actually, this is an actual place in Taipei, Taiwan. I don't know what it's called in English, but a direct translation would be something like: Lin Family Garden. I'm guessing that it's one of those Chinese gardens where people sit down to drink tea and enjoy the scenery. There are a lot of those places in China and Taiwan.
